Why are you studying political science?

"I'm a bit undecided, but I went the route of political science because since I was little, I've always been interested in politics. I've always had a lot to say. But I don't know if it's a marketable major, so I might do something else that I would still enjoy, like economics.”
What objects in your dorm represent your identity or home life?

“My pictures of my family. I have pictures of younger me, my great grandparents, my initial family. All those are like 10 years old. I have my little plant which reminds me of home because I have a lot of plants at home. And I have my books, but I have many many more books at home. And my aunt gave this to me when she was initiated in the Air Force. And my posters – I love Lana and The Weeknd.”

What are you struggling with?

“Not finding time for myself. Every day, I go to class, eat when I have time. And then I have like an hour of freedom where I just scroll on Tik Tok. And then I go to a library for the next four or five hours and just do work. And on the weekends, it's even longer. The library all day. Sometimes I'm able to hang out with friends in between that, or Friday/Saturday nights, and do something. But it's not enough. Another big struggle has been adjusting. Because I thought this was gonna be like taking a bunch of APs, like high school, but it's so much worse. It's misery and studying always. I've missed my family and my home friends a lot. Especially because I haven't really been able to connect with the people here in the way I've connected with my friends at home. They're really important to me.”
